Today, Animal Evac New Zealand became the first animal organisation in New Zealand to enter an Memorandum of Recognition with the International Association of Emergency Management (IAEM) to support the Principles of Emergency Management.

In doing so, Animal Evac New Zealand joins other global thought leading organisations such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Emergency Management Accreditation Program and the National Fire Protection Association, in recognising the eight principles that will be used to guide the development of a doctrine of emergency management.
